The purpose of the WBGC Tiger Sharks Swim Team is to provide members the opportunity to set and achieve goals while improving swimming technique in a fun team setting.
1.To stimulate an interest and provide training in competitive swimming
2.To provide opportunities for social and physical development
3. To instill team pride and good sportsmanship
4. To provide a positive and wholesome swim-team experience!
Swim meets are typically held on Saturday afternoons, with occasional changes for specialty meets. We will participate in 8-10 meets during the season (November-March), roughly half will be away, and half at ‘home’. Club van transportation is available for away meets, with room for about 28 swimmers.

Swim Team Clinic is designed for kids who wish to learn the aspects of Swim Team Conditioning. Athletes will work on improving technique in the water and preparing them for Competitive Swim Team.
Cost: $150 ($75 for additional children)
Clinic begins March 21st and runs until the end of the school year.

Team New England (March-April)
The Waltham Tiger Sharks take part in the National Boys and Girls Club Swim Championships held every year in St. Petersburg, Florida. We, along with several other local Boys and Girls Clubs compete under a single banner known as Team New England. There are requirements to attend the National Swim Meet, so please inquire with the coaching staff if you have any questions.
Summer Swim Team (July-August)
The Tiger Shark summer Swim Team practices during the week to keep kids in shape during the off season. We compete in 2-3 meets during the summer, held in the evening on a week day. This is a great program to help introduce new swimmers to the Swim Team atmosphere before the regular season begins in October.
