During the 2021 holiday season, we needed your help to spread joy to youth and families in our community like never before, and you responded to that need! Our community worked together to help fill the gap and provide gifts to all of our members and families in need. Thank you, everyone, for your generous donations which made it possible for us to provide our member community with a wonderful holiday experience.
Winter Clothing Drive: Gifts for Warmth and Wellness:
Due to the generosity of volunteers and donors, the Waltham Boys & Girls Club Winter Clothing Drive was a huge success. The outpouring of donations from local schools, businesses, faith organizations, and individuals enabled us to provide individuals with more than 300 new winter clothing items, such as hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves.
This program is made possible each year through the planning and organizational efforts of volunteers and Waltham Boys & Girls Club staff. A special thank-you goes to our community volunteers who helped with the organizing, wrapping, and distribution of all the warm winter coats and accessories. You are all so wonderful and we are so very grateful!
Adopt-A-Family Program: Gifts to Connect Families
The Waltham Boys & Girls Club’s Adopt-A-Family Program serves families with gifts and necessary items provided by the local community. Our community has continued that spirit of giving to spread holiday cheer and moments to matter to local families in need.
A special thank you to our family sponsors and volunteers who donated gifts for 11 families and adults this year, including 31 Waltham Boys & Girls Club kids and teens. Their contributions not only provided gifts but also love and kindness during this time of year.
A Community Holiday Celebration: Winter Wonderland
On Saturday, December 11, the Waltham Boys & Girls Club hosted a drive-through Winter Wonderland for local families. The Winter Wonderland, set outside of the Club, featured festive-themed tents, holiday gifts for Waltham youth, and a special visit by Santa and his entourage.
Local businesses, organizations, and community members donated 80 teen gift bags and nearly 400 toys and gift cards that were distributed to the more than 150 people who attended our holiday celebration.
On behalf of the families we serve, thank you for making holiday wishes come true!
